History of Gloucestershire Repeater Group
The group was started in 1984 (as ‘Gloucester Repeater Group’) with the initial aim of providing a 70cm voice repeater in the Gloucester area.
During the ‘Packet Radio’ peak in the 1990’s the group operated a number of systems at various locations around the county leading the changing of its name to Gloucestershire Repeater Group.
Whilst the group no longer maintains traditional Packet Radio systems it does operate a 70cm Voice repeater (GB3GH) as well as a 2m Voice repeater (GB3CG)
